Hello and welcome.

Free State Guns & Tactical Weapons is a shop located in Eudora, KS, with 3,000 square feet of retail space. If we don't have what you need, we can definitely help you place a custom order.

We won’t ask you to take a number, to wait in line, or hurry you off after a transaction takes place. We will help you with your selection and decision, and recommend a gun that gives you the proper feel, fit, and performance.

Our goal is to build a relationship with our customers so that they rely on us to help them in an honest, friendly, respectable, and enjoyable atmosphere.

Larry Minkler, proprietor

Thank you for visiting Free State Guns.

I am Larry Minkler, Proprietor. Most people call me Mink, and I invite you to do the same.

It has long been my dream to open a gun store that pays special attention to its customers. One that offers knowledge, skills, and attitude training, all of which I believe are necessary for the safe and proficient use of pistols, rifles, and shotguns.

I don’t have a background in the military or law enforcement, but I do have a high level of respect and admiration for the individuals who serve in these roles. What I have is extensive civilian training and a personal passion for firearms and firearm safety.

I was director of security at my church with a staff of 24 people. I’ve served in this role 6 years. I am in the business of selling firearms and providing training for their proper use and handling, but more important is my desire for you to find me a valuable resource and hopefully consider me a trusted friend. Since opening Free State in the spring of 2011 I have enjoyed meeting and getting to know many new customers, most of which I now consider friends. I look forward to getting know you!  Stop in so we can start a discussion about your firearm and ammunition needs.
